Learning outcomes
Upon successful completion, students will be able to:
- Gain an understanding of basic issues, concepts, taxonomy, principles, and techniques in the Intrusion Detection and Prevention System (IDPS).
- Understand when, where, how, and why to apply IDPS tools and techniques in order to improve network security.
- Learn new approaches (machine learning/deep learning) for IDPS and how to align new security technologies to existing network infrastructure.
- Be able to set up, evaluate, tune an IDPS for particular security requirements
📕 Readings and references
- No textbook! no existing textbook on IDPS is appropriate (good enough)
- The course is based on recent research papers in academic conferences and journals; IDPS tools guideline and document
